The Eden Prairie Figure Skating Club is offering an Off Ice Core Conditioning class with Lisa Zamarippa. These off-ice sessions will take place on Saturdays, starting September 17, from 12:45pm - 1:30pm in Studio A at the Eden Prairie Community Center. The emphasis is on core strengthening, flexibility and dance to improve overall skating skills. This is a unique opportunity for figure skating club members in Minnesota.
Everyone is welcome. Skaters can come for one or all sessions. Please sign in when you arrive and you will be billed accordingly.

Cross training is essential for figure skaters! The sport requires strength, flexibility, coreconnection, body awareness, artistry and more!! Off-ice conditioning is focused on the elements that builds the skaters over-all potential through sport specific exercises and movement skills In the class, the skater will learn to develop stability, balance, core strength, flexibility through a combination of training methods such as pilates, stability ball training, dance and stretching to achieve a higher fitness level and enhance the figure skaters performance.It is important for the prevention of injuries to introduce, prepare and maintain the strength and mobility of the spine and muscles Lisa Zamarripa has been a Off-ice specialist for 13 years.She combines all her experience in the arts and athletics to create classes and one on one sessions that help figure skaters achieve their goals! She was a soloist with the Ft. Worth Ballet Company, BA in dance from TCU,world finalist in ballroom dance and certified personal trainer for over 20 years.
